Although our coffees can be stored safely for 4 - 6 months after roasting without spoiling, we do not warehouse our roasted coffees. We roast only what we need immediately. Typically, your orders will be shipped while the beans are still warm from roasting. How is that for fresh?
Not all coffees (or even Kona coffees) are the same. You may find 100% Kona Coffees on the internet or in stores for cheaper than what we offer our coffees for, but be assured, you are getting what you pay for.
We taste-test each of our coffees at different roasting temperatures to determine the best roasting temperatures for each of our coffees. You are not only purchasing a higher quality bean than most Kona Coffees on the market, you are purchasing a higher quality coffee, each coffee roasted specifically to bring out the nuances of the individual bean, based on professionally-trained palettes. In fact, I often trade my coffees for wines of well-known winemakers in the Napa Valley and Sonoma regions of California.
I have a close relationship with a world-renowned but local coffee grower, miller, and expert who is flown around the world to advise on ways to increase coffee quality and raise coffee companies' images. I rely heavily on his experience and expertise to make my coffee one of the best in the world.
